Overview
Agios Georgios was a very old small church for which we have no information about when it was built. It is a small church that was built in the center of the old village of Agios Fotios near the old primary school. Due to neglect it was about to collapse and was abandoned. It did not last very long. About 7 years ago (around 1997) it had collapsed. However, the villagers themselves took the initiative to ensure that the offering to St. George was not lost and converted the old, nearby stone-built school into a church. They converted it into a small, flat, modest church with all the necessary amenities for a church, which is now functioning normally as a rural church dedicated to St. George. Service is held on April 23.
